Last Sunday, 1st May 2016, our sweet Aston was blessed. It was such a special day for us. She is the first grandchild on my side of the family which also makes her the first great-grandchild for both sets of my grandparents. It was wonderful to have our families there. Uncle Mark and Aunt Jacqui were visiting from America so it was perfect timing, we also had some very special family friends (who are basically my family) come up to be a part of it.
We had her blessing dress made by a lady in my stake. She made it out of the leftover material from my wedding dress. We met her one Saturday, gave her the material, bought some edging and thread, and on Monday she contacted us saying it was ready. And it was better than I could have imagined. It will be something we will forever cherish. Aston was wrapped in a shawl that both my dad and I were blessed in as babies. She also wore the bracelet that was mine when I was a baby. My mum had a charm with my initial attached to it, so when we named Aston we had a charm with her initial added to it. So you know, we’re all about tradition in the Tari family.
Our sweet girl is loved by so many people. We are very blessed to be her parents. My heart is so full.
