Pink Star Walk 2016

Most of you know that my mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last year. Since then I have become more aware of the illness and have made a better effort inΒ supporting the cause. In May I held a Pink Ribbon Brunch and when I found out about the Pink Star Walk I knew my family would participate in it. Last Saturday we got dressed up in our pink costumes and headed to the Auckland domain to participate in the 5km family walk. It was so much fun! I am super proud of my husband for getting into it as well. I can’t believe he wore a tutu and he didn’t care one bit. We got there early and I didn’t want to walk to the domain in my outfit, but after seeing a few other people dressed up crazy I felt a little more comfortable. People kept stopping us to ask for photos of Aston or they would stare at her and smile. I can’t help that she’s so cute! She even won a spot prize at the event. I don’t know why since she really didn’t do anything haha. She won two pink ribbon tea towels and they are so cute!

We had such a fun time and I’m glad we were able to participate. The vibe was great, everyone really got into it and the costumes were awesome. It was really uplifting to Β be among a sea of pink with people who were in it for the cause.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate my husband?!

By the end of the night the tassles had almost completely fallen off because of the wind and Aston’s curious hands.
